The Other End

I spent quite a few hours at the allotment this afternoon and this evening- weeding and cutting back the rampant growth of veg like the spinach and Swiss chard - the heat and rain has made them grow a lot.

This is the view of the allotment from the far end where I usually sit and drink my flask of tea! The nearest bed has leeks, beetroot and salad growing along with newly sewn turnips (mini ones) and radishes. Beyond that are the brassicas and celery and spinach. I’ve tried growing flowers among them all and it seems to have worked well.

If only I could share some of the vegetables and flowers with you all.
