King of Terrors

Spent some time at Rosslyn Chapel today - changed a bit since I last visited. One of the changes is a ban on photography inside. Apparently due to health & safety concerns and not the £5 CD of official photos available from the gift shop.

Anyway, taking my life in my hands, I sneaked this shot in the crypt. Seems fairly apt as it appears to depict Death stalking a boy balancing on a ball and a tyre whilst he tries to slap a little old lady in a chair precariously balanced on an upturned book. They've only themselves to blame if it all goes pear shaped. And has that skeleton been on a course to learn how to handle that scythe?
