New Growth

As its the start of a new year (Happy 2013 to you all!) and I'm thinking about resolutions and plans for the year ahead, it seemed apt that today we 'grew' my daughters magic crystal tree that came in her Christmas Stocking. I loved the vivid colours and interesting patterns that formed but in contradiction it was incredibly fragile. When it was accidentally bumped late on in the day, it broke apart to reveal tiny fluff-like formations.

I suppose in a way it's representative of my thoughts of the year ahead. Full of promise and excitement yet could fall apart at a moments notice, so I think I'll just focus on enjoying the good bits before my own fluff falls off :o) xxx
