New Defensive Formation

Having been relegated last season, Yeovil appear to have come up with a novel strategy for keeping their opponents out of their penalty area this season.

Today saw the final pre-season friendly at Huish Park and an encouraging 2-1 win against Bristol City Under 23s who, despite their name fielded some of the more Senior players from their first team squad.

The Yeovil team still featured 3 triallists and is far from finalised but played some attractive attacking football while defending stoutly. The real proof of the pudding, of course, will come in next Saturday's first league game away at Barnet who are likely to be among the promotion favourites.

The outdoor pool was much quieter in this morning's cooler but still pleasant conditions.
