U.S.A Holiday - Day 12

For however many days I woke up before the alarm again neither Clare or I having slept well.
I don’t see myself as a sentimentalist but I found myself think; “last shower of the holiday”, “last coffee in the apartment of the holiday” and more.
Janet and John picked us up for a family breakfast at ‘Flappy Jacks Pancake House’ where eight of us settled in to enjoy a breakfast, (of huge portions), with each other. Clare and I have come to know Janet’s family, some better than others, but all lovely people.
All too soon it was time for a farewell photograph before heading to the apartment and collecting our luggage.
Janet and John dropped us at Ontario Airport for what would be the start of a long journey home. We read and enjoyed each other’s company before boarding on time and departing for San Francisco.
When we arrived two weeks ago we had a four hour lay-over between flights, immigration clearance took ninety minutes, today we have fifty minutes between disembarking from flight one to boarding flight two.

1225 (2025) Depart Ontario Airport
1635 (0020) Board Flight To San Francisco
1745 (0145) Arrive San Francisco Airport
1940 (0340) Depart San Francisco Airport
2359 (0759) Airborne - At 37,000 feet having travelled 2381 miles at 611mph and over Canada’s Great Lakes.
