War Memorial

...from the German-French 1870/71 war, in the centre of Eberstadt (now part of Darmstadt). It’s important to remember the noxious belligerent activities, killing millions and destroying vast areas over centuries. Nowadays, we rather have to pacify our inner xenophobic aversions. A palatable choice may be a visit to a foreign restaurant, like “Zum Syrer” (the Syrian) next to this memorial.
