After the hot sun, the rain, and a beautiful rainbow spotted near here. It brought to mind the way to remember the sequence of colours in a rainbow: "Richard Of York Gave Battle In Vain."
It is a way to recall red-orange-yellow-green-blue-indigo-violet.
The mnemonic is said to refer to the defeat and demise of Richard, Duke of York at the Battle of Wakefield.
