Little and Large.

Very enjoyable few hours spent welcoming blipper Ken Petch and wife Linda. They have just made a very good house move from Staffordshire to Grange over Sands on the Kent Estuary. They now have before them many happy times exploring South Lakeland and, just one train stop away, Arnside and Silverdale.

We took them on their first visit to RSPB Leighton Moss. Given that it is now school holidays which means it would be very busy at the Visitors’ Centre, we chose to take them to the separate Eric Morecambe and Allen hides.

The blip is a Whooper Swan and I think, a Greenshank.
