A very unusual Sculpture

This is the sculptor’s memorial to his wife who died of cancer. He made a series of these memorial sculptures before he died.

This particular one is probably the best example of the series and is a remarkably beautiful work made out of love and sadness.

Remarkably, it resonates with friends who have lost relatives to this disease.

Hill of Tarvit was the first Marie Curie hospice in Scotland between 1952 and 1977.
