Cabane Combal

Some of the gang wanted a mountain hut experience, some (most lol) wanted some luxury.... Fabulous Cabane Combal provided both.
At just shy of 2000m and just a few feet from glacial moraine it's a very special place. Really luxurious 'dorms' and a real sense of remoteness. The food and beer wasn't too shabby either!! 

Yesterday we finished the day with a simply glorious swim in an aquamarine glacial pool (see extras), but I was really hoping that by rising really early I could catch something special this morning, I think I've managed that....

Later we took the high traverse into Courmayeur, our view dominated by the magnificat Peuterey Ridge.
This evening has been Pizza, Gelatto, laughs and some stunning thunder and lightening.
