From the west tower..

...of Durham cathedral this morning. Only a 154 step climb up the spiral staircase but a fantastic view and excellent guides to take us up.

Before this we had visited the castle. Another brilliant visit and a very knowledgeable guide, an enthusiastic graduate working to fund his PhD.
