Birthday decorations

It was a busy birthday weekend.  Eish !

Mom made a chocolate cake for Jean and a tray full, of chocolate fairy cakes, for Caitlyn. 

I never helped with the  icing, beyond, blipping the mess. 

However, I was involved with both deliveries.

In the case of Jean, it was quite a surprise.  Mom, phoned to ask if it was okay, to drop the thermos flask off......... since I was home, and well, she doesn't have a car, to drop it off, any other time.

Probably should explain the thermos flask.  Mom found herself with NO POWER, for close on 30 hours last week.  The cable was apparently stolen.  Anyhow...........she phoned Jean, to find out if they had power.  And they did.  Jean then arranged for her daughter, to drop off a thermos flask, so Mom could have a cup of tea.  This was a good 8 hours into the ordeal, I think it was very much appreciated.


So....... we pulled up into their drive.  Jean was expecting the thermos flask, not a birthday cake. She was very surprised and thrilled, when I produced the cake.   See the extra.

I left Mom to have tea and chat, whilst I walked the fitbit, round the neighbourhood.



I know she skinners about me, so I wanted to give her, an opportunity to "visit", without me being their ,to cramp her style.  Plus, I was looking forwarded to  a change of scenery and I HAVE, to get my steps.

We returned home, Mom then  baked and assembled, Caitlyn's gift.  Whilst she was busy, decorating the cup cakes, she decided to try out the "Russian nozzle"...............
