KORELKO DAY 2

CLASSROOM BY THE SEA
As you can tell from the views yesterday we are very high up. Years ago they used to cram 3 children to a seat in the coach, the road was a track and it used to “surf” on the rocks....now most seats only had 2 children and the road is tarmac-ed but it is still very steep!!!
The beach used to be just rocks....now there are beds and umbrellas (free to us) and a beach cafe;

Today after an hour free time I taught for 30 mins then had another hour free!!

After a lunch of tomatoes, soup and watermelon it was time to siesta!!!

At 5:00 all the children swam in the pools and I joined them briefly. Afterwards I watched them play football.

Dinner was more soup and burger with tasty potatoes. Lucky I didn’t have much as I was asked to join the other Ukrainian leaders for a meal out in town with alcohol. It was so special to be asked. Years ago (in my 20s when I was a leader we used to escape through a whole in the fence and sneak down to town....we always got caught and in trouble !!)
The main leader treated us to a delicious meal. She is so kind and when O was here a few years ago he was very fond of her and her husband. I now know the feeling was mutual.
