Shotover

Today dawned bright and glorious, so after a leisurely morning and late breakfast we headed on up to Shotover Country Park for a stomp, and before cabin fever struck.

The park was really busy. Lots of happy waggy dog tails, children running with sticks and happy faces. Plus the cries of those who'd slipped and fallen in the puddles! Was it wrong to chuckle at those?

Clearly we were not alone with our desire for fresh air. The sky was amazing - such a glorious winter light.

Four miles later and we were back at the car where the thermos and slices of Christmas cake were waiting for us.
