Looking for new words.

The new charts have been plotted and a new course set. Trouble with most peoples trips is that they don't actually know where they are headed. Some people have an idea but just don't know when they've arrived.
I am a big fan of cryptic crosswords but must confess I could never complete one without a thesaurus and dictionary.
Did have trouble with this clue:- "A greeting said to be walking on air at having apprehended the organ"(5,3,4)
