Backblip: 'tis the Season

Ah, the season of les Routes Barrées et les Deviations. Such joy! 

This was on the edge of Limoges on Monday, when we were heading South to Tauriac for a few nights in the new van. The roundabout by the retail estate was being resurfaced and all was mayhem. We made a  mental note not to return that way (and also not to do the Grand Frais run until work has been completed - a slight problem as I planned to shop for ingredients for my offerings for the village fête next week.)

One way and another, it took a good three hours to get to our destination, which would not have been too bad for a three night stay but cat trouble and the high temperatures drove us home the next morning. We stuck to the Autoroute and skipped the radworks, thereby getting an intriguing cross country journey courtesy of our new SatNav system. Still not much more than two hours to get home though, which was better.

In Tauriac, I did no more than collapse onto the sunlounger beneath a shady tree - so the big camera never came out of its bag but I did grab a few snaps with the little Olympus. However, I cannot claim that this trip unearthed my photo mojo at all.
