We’re on our way! I took the kids swimming whilst Antony did some of the jobs he could more easily do without them around. And then we retraced our steps round Glossop to work out when and where he’d discarded his scooter and helmet. The answer was the entrance to Marks and Spencer on Wednesday and thankfully they’d kept them safe.

After some frenzied packing and sorting, we eventually got on our way. The kids travelled really well and we arrived at our less than exotic Travelodge and ate and slept. Isaac was the least interested in sleep and spent a long time shuffling between Antony and I and bestowing loud kisses while we tried not to laugh.
