Barley Cove

I saw the New Year in with my friend Cammy and her family. My boys were out with their friends , even Aedan didn't want to be collected from town until the small hours. There was a definite reek of alcohol fumes in the car on the way home...Ireland is a drinking culture they say.
I went out to Barley cove this afternoon for a paddle ( in my wellies) and a bracing walk over the dunes and along the beach. It was a light extravaganza with shifting clouds and rays of sunlight over the sea.
An early night is what I need now. Bonne année!
