My new hat

This is Woolly sporting a new hat whilst having a good scratch up against this gorse hedge. Woolly is one of the small herd of rare breed cattle that live in this field and where I go for walks when I accompany T to the model flying field. T was pleased to do a bit of model flying again and flew his Mustang as it was pretty windy so he wasn't going to risk damaging his less robust models, such as his lovely elegant glider.

Its been dry for most of the day, sunny but very JPEG sorry, raw, so much so that we didn't stay too long at the flying field as camera fingers and radio control transmitter fingers nearly fell off.

We then went over to the hospital at Stoke on Trent where my dear music friend, Roy, has been holed up for the last couple of weeks with a serious complaint and is likely to have to wait at least another 3 weeks or more to undergo a serious op. He was in good spirits though, as ever, and he has the same Consultant as I do, so he is in the best of hands. Roy plays saxes and clarinet in the same band as me, and our Consultant also plays the clarinet (time permitting, and not in our band!). I must get my sax out of the box and get practising as band rehearsals start again next week. Roy and I travel to Shrewsbury together for these rehearsals and he will be sorely missed by all for a little while.

Happy New Year to all, and I hope its been a good New Year's Day for everyone?
