Rodents rule

Yellow stuff

I feel sorry for animals in this heat. Bleurgh. I didn't cycle to work today because Juno curled up on me this morning and I really, really, really didn't want to get up. This made me miss my cycle window and I had to catch the train instead. This meant I had to catch the bus home, which was SO hot.

The office has air-conditioning, thank goodness, and I made the decision to not venture out at lunchtime. My flat is also quite cool so I'm lucky in that respect. A few colleagues have purchased fans, but I don't need one in this Victorian house in the shade.

We were all distracted at work this afternoon by the horrid Boris news. I might ignore the UK news for a while until the nonsense is over. In 2016, when Trump was on the presidential campaign, I recall chatting with a school caretaker in Texas who joked, "Hey, imagine if you got Boris as prime minister and we get Trump?!" Oh, we laughed. Good grief.
