Ellesmere yarnbombing

This morning I went to U3A and we had an interesting talk about British art from Queen Elizabeth 1 to modern day.  It was obviously a whistlestop tour as it's a big subject but I was disappointed that the Pre-Raphaelites (which I love) had barely a mention as she said that she didn't like them. 

This evening I went to a music practice in Ellesmere for the Community Arts group play "George and the dragon" which is being performed next month.  While I was there I stopped to take photos of the magnificent Yarn Bombing in the town.  It was hard to choose a favourite but opted for this gull and burger.  

The weather has been uncomfortably hot today so it's going to be a sticky night!
