Our banana plant loves the sun

My dear friend Pip gave me this banana plant as an offshoot of pne of his plants growing in his garden in Bristol. I have kept in a pot for a couple of years and I think it is time to find a spot in our garden where it can grow and send out its own baby shoots. Actually it has sent out one this year which is hanging on in the big pot they are now in sitting at present on the lower patio.
