What to do on hot days.

Too hot to do anything very active, but I came up with a good plan to get me out of the house. We are now in the Big Butterfly Count weeks so I had a drive out to a roadside verge I discovered last year, which seems a very popular spot for butterflies. There were lots around, but only a few species - Meadow Browns, Small Whites and Small Tortoiseshells. I was slightly distracted at one point by the calling of 3 Golden Plover who were seeing off a Buzzard.
