Rackwick Valley

A bright start to the day.  By evening the haar that was released over the skerries has formed a amorphous mass over the Flow. 

I wonder if you are puzzled as I am ?   On Saturday 15th February 2003 Brad Mehldau sat down at his piano in the Sumida Triphony Hall in Tokyo.   What was he thinking as he played an eight minute version of Nick Drake’s ‘River Man’?  At times the pace got quite frenetic (although Brad was always in control) and quite un-Drake like.  But unerringly Brad was continually dragged back to the haunting original melody.  I think ND would have approved.

So, meantime, if you are sitting in East Road (Kirkwall), Rowley Park (Stafford), Cyprus Avenue (Belfast) , the back garden of Peterwell Terrace, (Lampeter) you too maybe are intrigued.  You may require to sit in the quiet parlour, observe the outside world through the mature foliage and sip a perfect cup of tea.  Give the maid the day off.
