Banded demoiselle

Went out relatively early this morning for a walk at Far Ings (9am)but was still mighty warm, 25c! It was thankfully quite breezy which made the walk bearable. It did however put off the birds and so had to be happy with butterflies, bugs and demoiselles. This beauty could not get close enough. so much so I wished I'd had my macro at the ready. Instead had to make do with the zoom.
The extra is a gatekeeper and a skipper fighting for nectar
Update: Just heard it’s the first banded demoiselle sported at Far Ings :-))
