Red is the colour

Every day in our local supermarket, they put out vegetables on special that are not precisely in the prime of their youth.  It's become quite a game for Rower and me to check out these specials, and then build a menu around them.

These beautiful peppers and tomatoes are being roasted right now, ready for a soup which we will have for lunch tomorrow. 

Total cost $3.99.  Such a bargain.
