A sad song

This afternoon's concert in the summer programme was a homage to Barbara, my favourite French singer of the 60's and 70's. It was the performer's first professional performance after completing her studies in Musical Theatre.  She was very good. She sang a repertoire of Barbara's famous songs as well as songs by Jaques Brel, Brassens and Charles Aznavour.  This was one was 'Nantes' with very moving lyrics. It got me thinking that Alice might like to be included in the programme for next year,
