Coniston Show

We drove down to Coniston today to look around the show...such a lot to see!

And what a beautiful setting...on the banks of Coniston Water.

In the background of the blip, you can see The Old Man of Coniston ( the name of the highest mountain near Coniston).

There was a Fell race at the show...the runners had to get to the top of The Old Man and back down to the showground!!!

Our daughter and her husband would have taken part if they had been with us.

Later on, we walked steeply up to Tarn Hows then around the lake ( about an hour )...see extra...Tarn Hows looks even better in October when it is full of Autumn colour!
