Paul Weller at Edinburgh Castle

Back blip
An early train to Edinburgh so we were up early and on our way in the sunshine.
Lovely scenery on the way down, lots of Roe Deer and hares still out in the open.
We walked to the Gyle shopping Centre and had breakfast, plastic knifes and forks and a paper plate so nothing posh but it tasted good.
Had a very quick look at the shops and spotted a few Oor Wullies and some mini ones up stairs.
We caught a Taxi to the hotel and left our bags.
A good journey on the tram ,which was a few minutes walk from the hotel , to York Place and on to the Cinema. It was now pouring with rain and the forecast was terrible so a few hours watching a film seemed a good idea.We saw ‘Yesterday’ which we enjoyed, lots of funny moments and good music.
We had a meal in the Slug and lettuce , just £5 for a main if ordered before 4pm.
The sun was shining when we came out and it was hot ! Walked up the Royal Mile and went into one of the converted churches for a drink and to relax before queuing for the concert.I had a pint of iced coffee which was very refreshing.
We queued outside until it was time to walk to the Castle . Found our seats and enjoyed watching Paul Weller in a super setting. The weather could not have been better, no rain at all so no need for our waterproofs.
A walk down the hill to catch the tram and back to the hotel before midnight :)
