Rulbuts Hill

A birthday gift from R had been "Easy Walks to Lake District Views". Today we tried out a circular walk to Rosthwaite Heights and Rulbuts Hill on the east side of Windermere near Bowness. Without the book we would not have thought access to Rulbuts Hill was possible because there's no footpath or track on the OS map and  its not open access land. When we got up there, sure enough there was a new signpost with a permissive path inviting us up the hill. Delightful view from the top towards Windermere in the distance and no-one one else there.
