Corks a' Poppin'!

In Scotland, the 1st of Jan always feels like the morning after Hogmanay, rather than a new day in it's own right - if you see what I mean! Lots of evidence of fun times on the streets when we went for a New Year Day stroll.

Beautiful blue skies and sunshine, but a biting cold wind. Just what I needed to shake off this bug. Much better today thank goodness - so able to keep up our tradition of lunch at The Ship on the Shore on January 1st.

A Guid New Year to one all. Now time to settle onto the sofa for movietime with a soothing cup of Earl Grey :)
