Back to Blighty

Last day of the holiday, really can't believe where the week has gone - it feels on one hand we've been away for weeks, the other- only a few days!

Today saw breakfast, packing, saying goodbye to the few people we met, waving Mum off in the taxi, then chill time till late afternoon. We walked, had lunch, relaxed in the bar and then headed to the airport ourselves.

Delayed by 2 hours in Lanzarote, so won't be touching down till after 2am! I'm currently writing this on the plane overlooking the most amazing scene. I wish I could show you all. A few sprinkles of gold lights on earth, grey cotton wool clouds, midnight blue sky in the top third with diamond stars. To top it off, I just saw my first shooting star!!!!! That was amazing!

We've had such an incredible Christmas. It was great just to stop and be with husband and Mum. None of this could have been possible without Mum - thank you for all that you do.
