Megalithic Rocks
We left the crazy campsite of last night and are now in Holland on a large site in middle of the town. We are here to see a friend of John's from his skiing days who lives in the town. The site is busy, crowded and there's a noisy park next door with the evening entertainment following a food fair going on; we are told it will stop at 11.
On the way it became a mission to find an elusive megalithic structure - it took many miles following signs in ever decreasing circles, but we eventually found them.
After a bit of essential shopping, John took Pepper down to the local river for a bit of stick throwing which she loves. Unfortunately, she managed to cut her foot badly on some broken glass. The site organizers sorted a vet nearby where we took her for stitches, that required sedation and she is now recovering - a hefty bill too! Great guy though, very efficient and knowledgeable. He also gave her the tablets necessary to get her back to England.
Pepper is very dopey this evening but tomorrow it will probably be hard to slow her down. Extra of Pepper with her collar and bandaged foot. We will get the dressing changed by the vet on Monday and then head for Calais - arriving home a day earlier than originally planned.
