Shot a Kingfisher today.

"When Ah waz a lad..." we had some quite primitive, water operated, things we called "Billy-Stampers" - a sortof precursor to today's temporary tattoos.

Unfortunately in an attempt to find their correct name I found there existed one of that name & saw his obituary. :¬O but was no nearer their name.
This chap had a couple of arms full of small tattoos, which looked quite permanent.
King Fisher took quite a bit of jiggery and just un soupçon of pokery to build a viewable darrkness of hue.
That aside, it's the best photo of a Kingfisher I've managed to date, if you see what I mean?
