Walking Berlin
Neil missed the call from the courier this morning so we waited for another call to arrange the delivery of the missing case. The slot we got was 6 - 10 pm. So we needed to be in the house then.
We went out and walked to Maybach Ufer for the obligatory galette at Grumpy. It was so good and well worth the 40 min walk!
I bought some cherries and other fruit - it is so cheap at the Türken Markt! 1 Euro for a kilo of cherries!!
We stopped next at Populus Café, and sat outside for a while. We continued working on our list of things we want to or could do. The website "Culture Trip" is very helpful for City trips and to find out what might not be in guide books and what you may not find accidentally.
We walked home via Hermann Platz, bought some food at the Markethall and got the things home.
We had half an hour left and went out again for a coffee at Curcuma.
Back in the house just after 6 pm.
I suggested that we both guess a time when the case will arrive and who is closer will prepare a candle light dinner for the other.
We both wrote the times down.
I guessed 19:15 pm and Neil 19:30 pm.
We both seemed to be optimistic :)
Well the courier came at 19:23!!!! So I lost by 30 seconds!!!!
We went out a bit later agin to get some veg rom Kaisers, because Neil did not pack what we had left in the fridge in Glasgow.
On the way home we stopped at Turandot for a beer.
We were only home after midnight and hungry.
So I cooked something quickly - and served it at candle light ... which made Neil laugh! Well, he did not help with the dinner, so it might as well be the candlelight dinner then.
(but we will see, maybe I feel generous for another time in Glasgow).
We were in bed late.
Tomorrow we plan to go clubbing. We found a 80ies Party in the SO36 in Kreuzberg and I fancy going. Let's see how we get on.
Blipping a wine shop with an old butcher sign above. I love when they keep the old signs ....
