You looking at me?

Whole school trip out today. After being inspired by a blip from another blipper (whose name escapes me, but thank you so much whoever you are) we all travelled up the motorway to Harewood House for the day.

We had booked in for the ‘Meet the Penguins’ tour, but got the ‘Garden Birds’ tour instead. Not ideal, but I was so shattered I just went with the flow expecting it to happen at some point. I should have complained, but to be honest I was not up for the confrontation. The people showing us around may have wondered why the children kept asking them about penguins constantly though :/

The grounds and house were superb though and it was a really chilled out lovely day and well worth another visit with the family.

I’m not sure I would take the school again though, which is a great shame as it could have been on our cycle of trips we do at the end of the school term. However, we were not greeted on arrival, so had to keep asking random people where we had to go - got the info off a volunteer lady who was going to the toilet when we were doing our first toilet trip of the day - thank you so much whoever you are! Then we weren’t given maps and had to go into information and ask for some, which were reluctantly given over. There was no map to download on the website, which I found very weird as we usually look at it beforehand. Then we got the wrong workshop as outlined above. I have tried to ring them, but it only ever rings out. I have sent an email. I don’t want money back or anything silly like that, as we had a superb day, it just could have been so much smoother and better.

Anyway, end of term tomorrow :)
