Daisy days

River Tarn at Albi

Today we drove from Aurignac to Albi, about 60 kilometres north-east of Toulouse. It's a beautiful city, dating from pre-Roman times, but the present city and the enormous cathedral (the biggest brick built cathedral in the world apparently) date from the 13th century. We spent the day wandering around the city and looking at the cathedral. It's very beautiful. (BTW the church in this photo is not the cathedral, that was behind me as I took this photo). We finished off the day back in Aurignac with a fantastic New Year's eve meal in the local hotel "Le Cerf Blanc", that went on for 4 hours! And on that note, I want to wish all my Blip friends a very happy new year. May 2013 be a happy time for you all.
