Sunrise...

...over the distant Alps, Lake Geneva is unseen between the lens and the skyline.
Inspite of the old adage 'Red sky in the morning, sailor's warning', it turned out a beautiful, clear day and friends flying in for the New Year's Eve celebration and my birthday [2nd] had the most fabulous views of the Alps.
New year's eve was great, home at 2.00am, lunch date at noon to-day, then rest for the rest of the day before the big day to-morrow!
