Beautiful in the Open Fields

Large open fields of wildflowers can be beautiful, but if these guys show up in my garden I pull them out. Sometimes I wish I lived in an area of open fields where the weeds are welcome and enjoyed for their beauty ..... where no upkeep was necessary......but then I think of the beauty as I walk through my yard on the grass or paths and I think all the work is worth it.

Today was my yearly eye exam....all was better than expected since I have the start of cataracts and droopy eyelids....neither has progressed as much as expected.....so surgery is not necessary now.....probably much later than my doctor expected. I am grateful.
