Seed Head
Interesting day organising things ...
Took our pop-top camper in to get looked at - confirmed that the suspension needs work, but that's expected and was fine. And probably got a pretty good deal. But it took an hour of seeing people, getting it weighed to see what weight of suspension etc. Quite interesting.
Then work and powered thru a bunch of stuff. I am away for the next 2 days, so had to get organised.
And then finished up taking my bike in for a service. That was all good as it's near new, but my wifes needed looking at as well. Seems it's due for a major overhaul - around $600 by the time all the gear componentry is changed, new tyres, chain, several cables, brake pads etc. Bugger.
A new one with dual suspension, disk brakes and a reasonable quality is twice that. Ideally I'd buy the parts and (learn how to) do it myself, but there's only 1 week to go before the race. Left it too late.
Maybe the bike is all washed up, like this seed head, or possibly it's about to get a new lease of life. Time will tell.
