A Study of Concentration....
....they could be reading a book or similar, but no!! They are doing Uncle Aidan's scratches, start them young is what he says.
The first day of 2013 started off with many bangs, the fireworks at the Bay Carnival - a wonderful display, sharing the beauty with dups, R and another couple. Finished the evening off with a coffee and waffles, so yummy.
I had intending blipping the display but when loaded the info said 31/12/12 (even though it was well past midnight) I suppose there was something I could have done, but too tired and weary. Is there???
So Ella & Harry it is.
Started the New Year off with pancakes, bubbles with strawberries and eating out on the terrace. Beautiful weather (at that stage) and very enjoyable.
Off out for lunch (again) ...i am so over fancy food, drinks....give me a ham sandie for tea tonight. Oh but no!!! Lasagne it is, the one I made before all the lot arrived.
Speights Ale House the choice today and sitting outside to enjoy the heat. Blimmey, the calm was short lived - gale force norwesterly winds hit, umbrellas, bottles and lots of other thing all went "for a six" Became very unpleasant and ever so slightly dangerous bloody dangerous. When we finally got home we had to rescue the kids washing from far and near. Otto's upside down, trees or part thereof down all over. This weather was forcast, and warning have been put out to campers along riverbed as rivers are expected to rise rapidly. The wind has calmed slightly, still very hot though, but lots and lots of rain around the divide.
We shared today's high with Christchurch 29 deg.
