Nicely Photo-bombed!

H and I went to Mannington Gardens which are known for their roses. Unfortunately in the few weeks since H went, they have mostly gone over, but I've included 4 in a postcard in Extras. 

I was busily taking a wider shot of the flowers in the main photo when I was photo-bombed by a bee. It was much easier to get a shot this way than chasing the bees around the flowers!!!

This morning I went to a very interesting talk at the U3A by Ralph Jackman entitled 'How to Become a Roman Emperor' which was about the rise to power of Augustus and how he achieved it. He was a very entertaining speaker who was very enthusiastic about his subject, which always makes for a good talk.
