James an Noble

A  breeze now and again, calmer tonight.  It's been steekit mist all day, lifted in places this evening.  It started raining at 5pm, and been heavy showers since.  Loving this summer!!

The cold seems to have lifted a bit again, this is the strangest horrible summer cold!  It was back to work today, and been working on the museum desk.  We've had two classes in for the Fiddle Frenzy, and they've been playing like mad all day.  There was also two cruise ships in Lerwick.  After tea, I nipped down the road to mam's, fed the cat, and popped by James Dodge too.  Off to work in the pub later.

Sammy was not amused when I popped along James, as we headed towards the cow byre, and there was a newly born calf and mother in.  Two year old Flake gave birth to Noble yesterday morning.  Both calf and mother doing good.  I did blip a photo of Flake a few months ago, when she was out in the field.  Noble will be kept on the croft, and be the new bull in town, and a handsome boy he'll be.  Here's James and Noble in the byre.  Taken at Aith, Cunningsburgh.
