small skipper

Took Nelly and Ziggy on an extra long walk this morning. Lots of butterflies in the long field, especially these little coppery coloured skippers. It was hot and muggy though and they’re both really tired now. I got bitten a few times by horseflies and stung on the ankles by nettles so I’m quite pleased with this photo.
