Swan Bridge

Met up with my sister, BiL, two nieces and a great nephew (is that the term) for Sunday lunch at the White Buck outside Birley. Then photo-calls on the heath. Great seeing them all.

Back at Milford we decided to watch the end of the Men's Wimbledon final. Over two hours later .......

Great match. We, like most others I think, were rooting for Federer.

We didn't see any of the cricket, but a good day for England. And Lewis Hamilton won the grand prix.

Later, we walked along the front to the big shingle bank which protects Keyhaven. Another beautiful evening - it is summer down here, in fact a bit of a drought. No rain for weeks, and real heat and warmth. A contrast with our much greener part of the world.

The evening ended with a glass or two of wine and birthday cake. A fitting end to a good day.
