Fishing

Camping Day 1 

This is yesterday's blip.  We arrived at the campground around noon after an uneventful drive.  We were VERY lucky to get the last lakeside site and it's a really nice one!  We got set up and had lunch and then PD started chopping wood so I took Piper for a walk.  We're at the far end of the campground and when we got about halfway through I heard my name being called.  It was some of our favorite camping buddies whom we met up here several years ago!  After big hugs all around they came back to our site with me to surprise PD.  They are going to be here all week. :-))  Just to make it more special, it was their 30th Anniversary and they insisted on sharing their steak dinner with us.  My extra shows J & R and a shot of R that I really liked, the setting sun and the rising moon.  We partied into the wee small hours....hopefully quietly enough not to bother our neighbors!  Fun times in store :-)))

My main blip is the Osprey that flew over their campsite and perched on top of the highest tree with a good view of the lake.  I grabbed my camera and followed him.  I didn't stay long enough to see him fishing, though.

I am grateful for all the lovely people we have met at this campground over the years.  This is our second time here this year and both times we have met friends unexpectedly.  We still miss our former camphosts, though.  It will never be the same without them!
