Royal Gorge

We accompanied friends on a murder mystery train trip through the Royal Gorge outside Cañon City. I was more interested in the scenery from the open air railcar, especially when we passed beneath the highest suspension bridge in Colorado. Built in 1929, this bridge sits 955 feet above the river below. A truly impressive sight from almost 1,000 feet below and I imagine just as impressive from above, but we decided to forego the $28 per person entry fee.
