A new day dawning, with a new hip

I woke at dawn, slightly confused, which isn't surprising considering the anaesthetic and painkilling drugs I'd been given.

I grabbed my phone on the hospital table and managed to work out how to take a picture. I'm glad I did as I have this reminder of what will hopefully be a new cycle of life with added mobility.
