From Zen to Eternity

Met Liz Armstrong, ex Glasgow School of Art, in our yoga class this morning.
She divides her time between San Francisco and Bridge of Allan.
 
Later over coffee in Hideaway, she told us about a  recent “stand –off” with a driverless car in San Francisco.
 
“ I had already stepped on to the road when I saw this car coming towards me so I got back on to the pavement.
The car stopped. I waited for it to move but it didn’t.
So I stepped forward again just as the car was setting off and again it stopped.
That’s when I realised it was driverless.”
 
She says driverless cars and drones are increasingly common in the city “ along with the homeless and techie people.”
