Middle C...

...and knowing what it means, is pretty much the extent of what I know about musical notes. I have no clue what Middle C looks like on sheet music, and I certainly wouldn't recognize Middle C if it snuck up and bit me in the ankle.

I just know it's engraved on this pretty harmonica that Mr. F gave me ages ago, thinking that it would be an instrument easy enough for even me to learn how to play, especially those toe-tapping, free-form blues style tunes.

The last time I tried, it was clear that the skill would also require extensive breath and lung training, but as instruments go, it is probably much easier to fake playing than anything else, except perhaps for the kazoo, which I'm fantastic at. No laughing allowed.
